Cat lounge & coffee bar · Corydon Avenue
Twelve resident cats, a house-roasted espresso bar and the warmest room in Winnipeg. Book an hour, order a latte, and let someone with whiskers pick the seat.
Why people keep coming back
All rescues, all adoptable, all vet-checked. They live here until they find their person.
Small-batch beans from a Winnipeg roaster, pulled properly, with oat milk as standard.
Timed slots, a twelve-guest cap and cat-only retreats keep the room quiet for everyone.
Two visits before applying, notes from staff, and a rescue partner who follows up.
What we do
Everything on this list runs out of one warm room on Corydon. Drop in for a coffee, book the lounge, or take the whole place for an evening.

Since 2019
Our story
We opened in 2019 with six rescue cats, a used espresso machine and a hunch that Winnipeg winters needed a room like this. Seven years on, the machine is bigger, the cats rotate through to new homes, and the hunch turned out to be right.
Every resident comes to us through Prairie Paws Rescue. They live here until someone falls for them, and roughly three a month do. The coffee side is not an afterthought either: we roast small batches with a local roaster and bake the morning buns ourselves.
Meet the residents
The cats you meet in the lounge are all adoptable through Prairie Paws Rescue. Spend an hour, ask us anything, and if it clicks we will walk you through the next steps.
Adoptable Loud, affectionate and convinced every lap is his. Greets the 9:30 slot personally and naps through the rest…
Adoptable Small, watchful and slow to trust, then suddenly all in. Likes to sit slightly behind you and supervise…
Adoptable Our gentle giant. Brushable, patient with children, and happiest on the highest shelf watching Corydon go by…
Adoptable Full tortie attitude in a tiny body. Plays hard, sleeps harder, and has strong opinions about the feather…

Kind words
I came in for a coffee on a minus-thirty day in January and have been here every week since. The flat white is the best in the city and Nimbus is, frankly, my therapist.
Hannah W.Regulars Pass holder
We visited three times before we applied, exactly like they suggested, and it made all the difference. The folder of notes Marc wrote about her was spot on. She still sleeps on the radiator.
Devin & SamAdopted Clementine, 2026
Fourteen eight-year-olds, twelve cats and not a single scratch. The staff ran the whole thing and the kids talked about the cat-manners talk for weeks. Cake was good too.

For the lounge, yes, especially on weekends. Slots are capped at twelve guests and go quickly. The coffee bar at the front never needs a booking; walk in any time we are open.
Kids are welcome from age six with an adult, and under-12s stay with their grown-up in the lounge. We give every child a short "how to be around cats" chat on the way in. Saturday morning birthday parties are a thing; ask us.
All of them except Biscuit, who owns the building in spirit. Every resident comes from Prairie Paws Rescue and stays here until they find their person. Ask any staff member and they will walk you through it.
The coffee bar is on the other side of a glass wall from the lounge and most mildly allergic people are fine there. The lounge itself is a full-cat environment with air filtration, but we cannot promise it will be comfortable. An antihistamine beforehand helps many visitors.
No, sorry. The residents have a stable social group and a visiting cat is stressful for everyone, including your cat. Dogs and other pets are not allowed in either.
Yes. Every lounge ticket includes one drink from the full menu, brought to you in the lounge. Bakery items are extra and can be ordered at the bar.
