Every cat in the lounge is a rescue looking for a home. They come to us through Prairie Paws Rescue, arrive vaccinated, fixed and microchipped, and stay until the right person turns up. Roughly three a month do, which is the number we are proudest of.
Adopting starts with just spending time here. If a cat keeps choosing your lap, tell a staff member; we will share what we know about their habits and introduce you to the rescue for an application. We ask for at least two visits before applying so the decision is made with a clear head.
The adoption fee goes to the rescue and covers the vet work. You leave with a folder of notes from the people who know that cat best, and a standing invitation to bring photos.
